Grâce à une analyse multidisciplinaire et décomplexée de notre relation à l’intelligence artificielle (I.A.), nous questionnerons nos usages quotidiens de l’I.A. Nous remonterons à l’origine historique de la notion d’« intelligence artificielle » afin d’en tirer des questions pratiques et des réponses concrètes, ainsi que des pistes de réflexion. Ensuite, nous aborderons les principes de base du fonctionnement de l’I.A. moderne pour y puiser une série de clés de compréhension. Enfin, nous nous arrêterons sur les craintes et idées reçues qui cernent le débat actuel autour de l’I.A. pour alors débattre collectivement de questions résolument actuelles.

Marx, en 1884, define el término trabajo cooperativo como “múltiples individuos trabajando juntos de una manera planificada en un mismo proceso de producción o en procesos de producción diferentes pero conectados” [MAR84]. Por otro lado, se afirma que un trabajo cooperativo “está formado por procesos de trabajo relacionados. Cada proceso genera ciertas tareas a ser desarrolladas por los miembros del equipo de trabajo para el cumplimiento de los objetivos” [COR04]. Bannon y Schmidt establecen que hay muchas formas de trabajo cooperativo, por ejemplo: trabajo colaborativo, trabajo colectivo, trabajo coordinado, y trabajo de articulación [BAN89a].

This activity explores what it means for a computer to be intelligent and introduces the topic of what a computer program is and how everything computers do simply involves following instructions written by (creative) computer programmers. Learners interact with a piece of paper that contains rules for playing a perfect game of noughts-and-crosses (tic-tac-toe). This resource is a modification of the Washington Models for the Evaluation of Bias Content in Instructional Materials (2009) that is made available through OER Commons under a public domain license. This resource attempts to both update the content with more contemporary vocabulary and also to narrow the scope to evaluating still images as they are found online. It was developed as a secondary project while working on a BranchED OER grant during summer 2020. It includes an attached rubric adapted from the Washington Model (2009).

The Athletic Cohort Advising Model was developed to increase success, retention, and graduation rates among athletes. Each athletic group is assigned an academic advisor who will work with them from admissions to graduation. The academic advisor works closely with admissions, financial aid, student life, scholarship office, athletic coaching staff, and faculty. The advising model includes grade/attendance checks, advising check-ins, completion of a career inventory, declared pathway, and transfer information. The objectives include students will declare a pathway major during the first semester of attendance, students will earn 24-30 hours of credit during first year, students will be informed on career pathway regarding education, salary, and job expectancy, and students will earn a degree within 5 semesters.

DELIVERY FORMAT: The program is in-person only.

PROGRAM SCALE: Large-scale (reaches more than 25 percent of its intended target population)

The numerical methods, formulation and parameterizations used in models of the circulation of the atmosphere and ocean will be described in detail. Widely used numerical methods will be the focus but we will also review emerging concepts and new methods. The numerics underlying a hierarchy of models will be discussed, ranging from simple GFD models to the high-end GCMs. In the context of ocean GCMs, we will describe parameterization of geostrophic eddies, mixing and the surface and bottom boundary layers. In the atmosphere, we will review parameterizations of convection and large scale condensation, the planetary boundary layer and radiative transfer.

Austin Community College's Rainy Day Savings Program: Year One Report

The research study examines the pilot of Austin Community College's Rainy Day Savings Program, in which students earned up to $100 in cash incentives for completing certain tasks and meeting milestones that could impact future financial wellness.

The research study focused on three components:
(1) program participation;
(2) program outcomes, including financial well-being, emergency savings, fall-to-spring retention, fall-to-fall retention, and credential attainment, and;
(3) program impacts, using propensity score matching to compare the outcomes between those who received treatment and a statistically similar comparison group who did not.

ACC partnered with the Ray Marshall Center (RMC) at The University of Texas at Austin to study the effectiveness of the Rainy Day Savings program. This research study aimed to provide actionable information about the success of the intervention allowing for ACC and Trellis Foundation, who financially supported the program, to make decisions about program modifications and sustainability.

The multi-lesson "Best Class/Worst Class" project provides a way for students and professor to set expectations for course performance collaboratively, while simultaneously modeling productive online interaction strategies. Students become more aware of their own learning process and the processes of those with whom they will be working, creating necessary bridges to successful collaboration. In addition, students are able to develop practical skills in navigating the online environment before being tasked with heavily-weighted course components.This project is designed to be implemented alongside discipline-specific course content.
