About me

I am Dr. Fawad Rauf, a faculty member at Collin College, where I teach electronics and applied mathematics. With over a decade of experience in engineering education—spanning circuits, physics, and workforce-aligned mathematics—I have dedicated my academic career to making technical learning both conceptual and accessible for diverse student populations.

As Principal Investigator for the TECM-1343 OER Grant Project, my focus is on developing high-impact Open Educational Resources (OER) that integrate foundational math with real-world electronics applications. I bring expertise in instructional design, metaphor-driven teaching, and curriculum development, and I have authored multiple books and OER materials exploring the intersection of math, engineering, and human-centered learning.

Beyond my classroom, I am actively engaged in workforce development initiatives, open-access education, and curriculum innovation. I serve on faculty committees, support dual credit and rural education expansion, and advocate for cost-effective, equity-focused education solutions across Texas.
