Personal Interests
I played the position of basketball's shooting guard and small forward in high school and college.
I enjoy reading romance novels, sleeping, cooking (when the mood strikes), and spending time with my husband, who is also a math professor at SPC.
Professional Background
I am an experienced mathematics instructor for 23 years. I have served 21 of those years at SPC.
I have taught classes in Basic Arithmetic, Foundations of Algebra, Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Contemporary Mathematics, College Algebra, Business Algebra, Business Calculus, Plane Trigonometry, and Precalculus.
I have been the Chair of Mathematics, Engineering, and Computer Science since October 2018.

I earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree with a focus on mathematics in 2000 from Enterprise State Junior College in Enterprise, AL.
I graduated from Huntingdon College with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mathematics in 2002 in Montgomery, AL.
I completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mathematics from Texas Tech University in 2004.
I earned a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Higher Education from Texas Tech University in 2010.
