About me
I am a newly appointed Assistant Professor of Social Work, and previously a full- time Lecturer, in the UHD BSW Program. I am a social work educator whose teaching expertise includes case management, practice and research with aging populations, and issues related to field practicum.
My research interests include interdisciplinary gerontology education, field education, adult protective services, medical social work, and case management.
I am the Founder and Director of the UHD Service, Teaching, Aging, and Research (STAR) Lab. I would like to share sources/resources for this OER repository that will be geriatric-related and specific to gerontological issues to engage students, staff, faculty, and the community with aging populations.
My goal is to develop an OER initiative on the UHD campus for my aging courses and the UHD STAR lab focused on caregiver resources for faculty, staff, students, and the community who are taking care of older loved ones.
