SAVE THE DATE: Open Nursing Education Summit, February 27-28, 2024
by Carrie Gits 4 months, 2 weeks agoThe Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board’s (THECB) Division of Digital Learning and OpenStax at Rice University have worked with nursing educators across Texas and the nation to create eight peer-reviewed, freely available nursing textbooks, aligned with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Essentials Curriculum. The textbooks will be available digitally in February 2024.
We invite you and interested parties at your institution to attend the Open Nursing Education Summit on February 27-28, 2024, and explore effective incorporation of the eight textbook nursing series into courses and programs while sharing ideas for adapting the openly licensed books to the needs of your institution. This free, virtual event will also feature industry experts and nursing education leaders, instructors, and administrators who will discuss critical issues in nursing education and how to address them through the power of open education.
