Advancing an Ecosystem for Open Educational Resources: OER in Texas Higher Education Biennial Report 2021.
by Kylah Torre 2 years, 11 months agoThe Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), in collaboration with the Digital Higher Education Consortium of Texas (DigiTex) and the Institute for the Study of Knowledge Management in Education (ISKME), is pleased to announce the release of the 2021 open educational resources (OER) landscape survey report - Advancing an Ecosystem for Open Educational Resources: OER in Texas Higher Education.
The 2021 OER landscape survey was administered to all 158 two- and four-year public and independent institutions across the state, as well as 11 health-related institutions. The 111 survey respondents represented a clear picture of expanding OER adoption and use in Texas higher education.
The survey analysis, building on findings from the 2019 OER landscape survey, reveals that those institutions leading the way in implementing OER-based courses, policies, and programs appear to be taking a systemwide approach. This includes engaging multiple offices and roles across campuses, developing partnerships with external institutions and organizations, and collecting OER impact data.
