1. In my opinion, after watching the video one initiative that stands out is the Texas OER Grant Program, which provides funding to support the development, adaptation, and implementation of open educational resources in higher education institutions. This initiative significantly reduces financial barriers, promoting educational equity by ensuring all students have access to essential resources regardless of their financial background.

2. From my experiences, an area that would benefit from additional focus is the professional development and training for educators on OER creation and implementation. Many educators may lack familiarity with creating or adapting OER or integrating these resources into their teaching practices. Providing comprehensive training and ongoing support can empower educators, ensuring they have the confidence and skills to effectively use OER, ultimately enhancing the quality of education and student learning outcomes.
