Announcing Registration for Open Texas 2022 – Sept. 21-23, 2022
by Kylah Torre 2 years, 2 months agoThe Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) invites you to participate in Open Texas 2022, a state-wide conference on open education. Registration is now open for this free virtual event scheduled for September 21-23, 2022. We encourage you to extend the invitation to faculty, librarians, digital learning teams, administrators, and other open educational resource (OER) advocates at your institution.
THECB, the Digital Higher Education Consortium of Texas (DigiTex), and Texas Digital Library jointly organize the Open Texas conference to convene librarians, faculty, administrators, and other open education practitioners and advocates in Texas and across the nation. This year’s conference theme, “The Labor of Open Education,” is designed to highlight the champions behind OER and reflect on the work, creativity, art, and science of open education as a community. Visit the Open Texas 2022 website to learn more and view the full conference program.
The conference committees, led by conference chair Dr. Rebecca Karoff, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, University of Texas System, have created an engaging program with keynote speakers Jasmine Roberts-Crews and Dr. Karen Cangialosi headlining the event:
- Jasmine Roberts-Crews is a lecturer at The Ohio State University and a renowned open education leader.
- Karen Cangialosi is the Program Director of the Regional Leaders of Open Education (RLOE), an OE Global/CCCOER network designed to build open education leadership in postsecondary institutions across North America.
