Hard to find resources
by Greg Ramzinski 1 year, 7 months agoI teach multiple courses in geography (physical and world regional) and am having a hard time finding good resources for both toipcs. I have found more resources for the world regional class and an OK book for this class but cannot find a good resource for the physical. I am glad we will be learning how to create our own OER to better meet the needs of my class and keep the material current for both classes. Any help or suggestions would be a great help. Thanks in advance.
Are you looking strictly within the context of this garden or are you looking outside of THECB OERTX? BC Campus Open Textbook, Merlot, OpenStax, Open Textbook Network, and OER Commons are some of the places I have looked for history stuff (or uploaded my textbook).
And then here is a website that can be found on many universities webpages:

Hello James,
Thank you for your response. I have been looking in multiple areas. Some of the areas I have found that you did not mention are:
You may wish to take a look at the Oasis site. There is not a lot there overall because it looks liket they are new and building up their content. Good luck.
Thank you! This is very useful - I have bookmarked the site.
I am looking for some good criminal justice courses. Do anyone have some adivce on where I might look? I need material that is unrestricted as I like to tweek the material, however, I would be willing to consider any other type. I teach Introduction to Criminal Justice; Juvenile Justice, and Crime in America.
Hi, Greg. I found a link to an open book entitled Physical Geography and Natural Disasters, by Salt Lake Community College: https://slcc.pressbooks.pub/physicalgeography/ . The Creative Commons license for it is BY-NC-SA.
I hope this helps.
