Northeast Lakeview College OER Working Group

The Northeast Lakeview College OER Working Group, part of the Alamo Colleges District, is a group of faculty and librarians who are working on creating open resources for our students. This group includes faculty both new to OER as well as establish OER creators and users. NLC is dedicated to providing the best resources to our students as they begin their higher education and career development journeys.

Below are the following faculty or staff members at NLC that have been beneficial in supporting OER (Open Educational Resources) for students. They were recognized by DSO as suggested by NLC faculty and staff.

2020

Megan Grimsley and Susan Kazen
These individuals created a new OER textbook for BIOL 1323 (Consumer Nutrition for Non Science Majors) course at NLC. This has been a successful project which has proven lasting benefits to their students.

2019

Tammy Perez
Dr. Perez has been an outstanding proponent for OER resources at NLC. She has help to foster a collegiate atmosphere for the use and development of OER resources.
