SK Janes introduced everyone on the steering committee. Then everyone introduced themselves.

SK Janes briefly discussed purpose of grant and the structure: 3 focus groups.

  2. Cyberinfrastructure and Cloud Architecture
  3. Data Access and Data Analytics

3 groups on OER-TX

1 group on OER-TX to share information in general

 

SK Janes shared BRICCS-TX activities of hosting three regional workshops that include student presentations of their projects.

CM encouraged participants to give feedback on the survey and complete it in response. He then discussed how the survey responses would be used based on the following points

Librarian director Lyn Garner from San Jacinto College, North campus shared her desire to learn more of BRICCS-TX; she discussed about TexShare the online databases for students to have access for their research.

 

Trent Dawson, faculty from University of Texas at Arlington introduced his research in K-12 education.

CM shared that NCUR was accepting abstract Submissions, due December 6, 2024.
