    Visual Analysis Essay

This module includes assignment prompts and exercises used to teach visual analysis. Students analyze an image of their choice and discuss the argument presented by the visual as well as its rhetorical strengths and weaknesses. Students receive the rubric with the writing assignment so that they know how they are being assessed. This essay introduces literacy skills and is the first major writing assignment in the course. A peer review used with the rough draft is also included in this folder. The assignment corresponds with chapter 3.14 of the OER Informed Arguments, and the instructions are available at the hyperlink.
