Advanced Skills - June 2023

Welcome to my discussion board on developing an Open Educational Resource (OER) for a course focused on student use of AI resources ethically, creatively, critically, and in research. I am starting with a Professional Learning Series to help prepare faculty and then expand the OER for use in an interdisciplinary course. This is an exciting topic with various aspects to consider. I'm looking generate ideas, suggestions, and insights to shape the development of this course. Feel free to contribute your thoughts and engage in discussions with others.

I want to start with the following:

1. What learning objectives should this course include to guarantee students a broad understanding of AI ethics, creativity, critical thinking, and research skills?
2. How can you design the course to cover these objectives properly? Should it be broken down into modules or units? What topics should be covered in each module/unit?
3. Are there any current frameworks or models that can be used to guide the course structure?
